I am engulfed by the waves, as if I am within the foaming creature before me. Each wave a whirl spiraling through my body, licking and pulling at the hard stones, smoothing them, softening them. Vast, ungraspable spans of time swell open. While the Earth turns, earthly slow, around the sun.
