Dr. Andreas Spiegl (*1964) studied art history at the University of Vienna, Austria, and completed his PhD at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. He is currently a Senior Scientist, teaching and doing research at the University of Fine Arts’ Institute for Art and Cultural Studies and has been Head of the Institute since 2015. He also served as Vice-Rector for Research and Teaching at the University of Fine Arts from 2003 to 2011. He has published numerous texts on contemporary art and art theory.
He participated as dialogue partner at the workshop at Angewandte Performance Laboratory and will participate in the Cross-Disciplinary Symposium.
