↓ short description of the situation in which the reflection takes place
I worked on this (meta) reflection for several weeks sifting through the rushes. As I engage with the editing process, I navigate a rich landscape of cinematic artifacts, carefully revisiting the entire footage, cutting away unnecessary parts, and weaving new sequences together. My approach is rooted in very intuitive mode of reflection as I superimpose shots, experiment with transitions, and integrate audio field recordings. Each decision I make is informed by the broader context of the film, which I view as an ecology of practices—where every element interacts and contributes to the final narrative. The process is deeply reflective, requiring me to constantly reconsider the relationship between sound, image, text, spoken words and meaning – together with my co-reflectors. It’s a dynamic environment where experimentation and reflection are just as important as the technical skills I bring to the editing table.
